My Coaching Philosophy
Effective coaching goes beyond prescribing workouts. It's about understanding the athlete.
With a foundation in exercise science and more than 25 years of coaching experience, my approach combines proven training principles with individualized instruction. Every athlete has unique strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. Identifying those differences, refining running mechanics, and developing efficient movement patterns are essential components of helping each runner reach their potential.
Training develops fitness. Knowledge and strategy turn that fitness into performance.
Race tactics, pacing, and decision-making are often overlooked aspects of athlete development. Through individual and small-group instruction, I help runners better understand their training, recognize their capabilities, and compete with greater confidence and purpose.
Equally important is the mental side of the sport. Confidence, resilience, and a healthy competitive mindset are skills that can be developed. I believe athletes perform at their best when they understand not only what they're doing, but why they're doing it.
Ultimately, my goal is to develop more than faster runners. I want to develop knowledgeable, confident, and motivated athletes who take ownership of their progress.
PROVEN EXPERIENCE. INDIVIDUALIZED COACHING. LASTING DEVELOPMENT.
